Steve Dalachinsky and The Snobs - Echo System

With three musical suites divided in eight poetic segments, ec(H)o - system is the sound of mutual listening and trust between Steve Dalachinsky and The Snobs. Different from what they have done before, together or separately, the record is once again released by Bam Balam Records, with a cover art by Yuko Otomo (poet and painter) and a booklet (44 pages) containing all Dalachinsky’s poems used for the record and a selection of his collages.

Shutterdog - Live Performance

Shutterdog emerged in 2018 – a fresh 5-piece filled with future-soul swagger. Fronted by the honeyed voice of Amy Greed and crowned by duelling funk guitars, theirs is a high energy brand of groove with a message.By using aspects of Arabic, Afro-Cuban, and Indian music in a western songwriting context, Shutterdog provides a crucial first step for listeners to begin exploring other cultures. Led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Matt Nobile who served as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter for the world music band Datura Road from 2015 to 2020. The band’s diverse repertoire meant often switching between the guitar, oud, and penny-whistle within a single set of music.

Who Knew - Daisy Chute -Window Sessions IV

It’s the first original song in the series and is called “Who Knew”.  It's a solo banjo and voice and was recorded direct to tape at the brilliant brand new analogue Studio Silo in East Iceland. Here are the lyrics: You were only looking at me looking back at you Now you’re lonely, wondering ‘bout me wondering ‘bout you too And you don’t see, how you hurt me, what you didn’t do So I won’t be, who you come see when the day is through, Who knew? And I pray you’ll find someone to worship you And I hope that you’ll love her the way that she’ll love you I do
