My original idea was for it to be played on 19 valved brass instruments but it ended up as the following: Piccolo trumpet, Eb Trumpet, 4 Bb trumpets, Flugelhorn, Tenor Horn, Baritone, 2 Euphoniums, 2 Tubas. Most of which were doubled. I think thats 13 parts in all, so close! Emerging from lock-down they had been gearing-up to give the band a new lease of life and looking at how to push ourselves.
