The Dream Chasers Collective from The Movement Initiative winning at the International Dance Organisation World Championships in Germany 2019.The Movement Initiative is a home to world champion hip hop teams - Young Dream Chasers and Dream Chasers Collective and are based in Southsea. Award winning Charitable company. The advancement of the art of dance through education, performance and provision of facilities. Encouraging and empowering young people across the south coast.The Movement Initiative have successfully won various dance competitions around Europe and are now World Champions in the International Dance Organisation. The charity is run by Gareth Smith who set up the school to keep children off the streets and make sure they have access to opportunities for dance classes as well as great health benefits. Aleah Mo - a Hip Hop Battle round
Aleah Mo is a 19-year-old hip hop dancer, teacher and choreographer at The Movement Initiative dance company based in Portsmouth. She has taught abroad on her own and achieved becoming world champion over the years with her team. Aleah has been dancing since she was 8, competing since she was 10 and teaching since she was 16 - er strongest dance styles are Hip Hop (new school) and R and B / Urban. She taught in Slovakia back in 2018 and 2019 for 2 different summer dance camps and teaches regular classes and rehearsals in her company’s studio. She is also an assistant choreographer to Tega Alex who is Aleah’s mentor, friend and head choreographer / director of the company. In the years of 2017, 2018 and 2019 Aleah became a World Champion in All-Style Battle Crew with her group The Young Lions which consisted of 5 – 7 members from the school. As well as Battle Crew, Aleah’s team (the Young Dream Chasers) won the IDO world championships in 2017 for the Junior Hip Hop Formations. The same happened for her in 2019 when her current team (the Dream Chasers Collective) took a gold medal home for winning the world championships of IDO for Adult Hip Hop Formations. This win took her team many years of dedication and hard work to achieve.

First Day of Spring is the first release of the year to come from, exciting upcoming Folk Artist, Megan Linford. Feeling a strong connection with the Earth and it's movement through the seasons, Megan's writing depicts the journey through the harsh winter months into the breathe of the Spring, how this parallels with a change that came in Megans own life after feeling she was set free from a period in a difficult relationship. The album tells the journey through the seasons and the cold, the loss, the love, the happiness and the doubt along the way.Megan worked with a group of talented musicians and producers on this project. It is her biggest sound to date!
