Signature Contemporary part 2 at 'Celebrate' 2018
Signature are a contemporary group based in Portsmouth underneath the company - The Movement Initiative. It’s currently a group of girls 14 – 18 years old who are passionate and dedicated to the style and extremely talented! They are currently choreographed by an amazing dancer Lucy Atkins and assistant choreographer Freya Williams. Signature was created in 2015 and the group has continued to grow and advance! They have competed in only a handful of competitions since forming but each time have come out successful and even on top! Signature have performed and The Movement Initiative’s annual show ‘Celebrate’ 3 times in 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well as competing at Platform Dance Festival with a team dance, multiple solos, duos and small group routines too. Some of the girls go and compete alone in competitions such as PDA championships too. Due to the lockdown, the group have recently started up again but have been spending their training time choreographing routines and catching up with lost time together. The team are always looking to invite new members to join so make sure to check them out.

Emiliyah and the Mighty Z Allstars are a brilliant reggae group who are based in Southsea down on the south coast! Their music is fantastic and they regularly perform a wide variety of their reggae music in their town of Portsmouth and the surrounding areas. They are joined here by Vladimir 'Kinior' Kiniorski on their tour in 2020 and are seen live at the Muzeum Witolda Gombrowicza, Wsola near Radom, Poland on 27th September. 'So many things I should have said' from the debut EP 'Perfect for You' by Ariana May.'So many things I should have said' is an emotional song about the regret of keeping your words inside; it reflects how although we have so many thoughts inside our minds, sometimes it feels like our tongues are tied. This poignant song is wistful and emotional as it echoes how we overthink everything, however is encouraging as it tells us to "always speak whatever's in your mind".The EP 'Perfect for You' is a collection of three songs: 'Perfect for You', 'Embers of the Sun' and 'So many things I should have said'. Though each song has a different message, they all possess the same paradoxical moods of poignancy and optimism; inspiring us with courage for the future or comfort in our memories. All the songs revolve around relationships and how each moment in life shapes us and makes us stronger.
