Hourglass achtungdanThanks for dropping by! I am an aspiring guitarist and songwriter. I have been learning to play on Rocksmith 2014 for just over three years and recently took the leap into writing my own songs. I am delighted and a little nervous about presenting the first song I have written, performed and produced. I am learning all the time but I realise without feedback there is only so far an aspiring artist can go. So I have decided to take action and post my work. These Ukrainian grandmothers are helping preserve the long history of Ukraine’s folk music.Miklós Both, founder of the Polyphony Project, is on a mission: to collect folk music in Ukraine. In the last four years, the project has visited over 100 different villages and recorded 2000 songs sung by the women in each village. All these folk songs are then compiled into a digital archive, as a way to preserve the long-standing musical folklore tradition of each Ukrainian village.The Jeeni Refugee Aid channel supports refugee aid and charities across the world.
