The theremin you hear in this recording is the 1929 RCA instrument that once belonged to Samuel Hoffman, played using a vintage RCA 106 Radiola loudspeaker.

My original idea was for it to be played on 19 valved brass instruments but it ended up as the following: Piccolo trumpet, Eb Trumpet, 4 Bb trumpets, Flugelhorn, Tenor Horn, Baritone, 2 Euphoniums, 2 Tubas. Most of which were doubled. I think thats 13 parts in all, so close!
