The UP Youth Choir is a multi-cultural and diverse group of young performers representing all races, religions and economic groups of South Africa. It is the mission of the UP Youth Choir to provide children of all different backgrounds with a unique program of music education and choral performance that seeks to fulfill and develop each singer's potential, while creating a model of artistic excellence and diversity that enriches the community. The UP Youth Choir was established with the aim of affording talented teenagers and high school students the opportunity to proficiently perform locally and abroad. ​The choir consists of 90 choristers aged 14 - 19 from the greater Tshwane and represents 34 different high schools.  The choir’s repertoire is an exciting assortment of South African and International music which incorporates elements of traditional music, jazz, gospel and folk music. The UP Youth Choir is recognized worldwide for its award-winning performances and spectacular artistry.
