Owe It To Myself
'Owe It to Myself' by Lennox Campbell AKA Biggz Manifest‘Owe It to Myself’ is a feel-good tune describing how one owes themselves ‘a real good time’ after a long week at their 9-5 job. This song expresses the significance of making time to reward oneself after working hard throughout and gives the listener motivation to do so. Lennox Campbell AKA Manifest Productions is a Song Writer, Composer, Engineer and Composer from South East London. For the last 30 years he has been in the music industry, creating all kinds of genres, mainly a mix of Jazz, Soul, Reggae and Pop. His label, 'Ghetto Born But Raised' currently holds 18 tracks, all of which are available on Jeeni.His influences are what he grew up listening to from the 70's to the early 90's, harboring lyrics on topics that bother him and his friend/singer J Wills. Shutterdog emerged in 2018 – a fresh 5-piece filled with future-soul swagger. Fronted by the honeyed voice of Amy Greed and crowned by duelling funk guitars, theirs is a high energy brand of groove with a message.By using aspects of Arabic, Afro-Cuban, and Indian music in a western songwriting context, Shutterdog provides a crucial first step for listeners to begin exploring other cultures. Led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Matt Nobile who served as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter for the world music band Datura Road from 2015 to 2020. The band’s diverse repertoire meant often switching between the guitar, oud, and penny-whistle within a single set of music.
Signature Contemporary at 'Celebrate' 2018
Signature are a contemporary group based in Portsmouth underneath the company - The Movement Initiative. It’s currently a group of girls 14 – 18 years old who are passionate and dedicated to the style and extremely talented! They are currently choreographed by an amazing dancer Lucy Atkins and assistant choreographer Freya Williams. Signature was created in 2015 and the group has continued to grow and advance! They have competed in only a handful of competitions since forming but each time have come out successful and even on top! Signature have performed and The Movement Initiative’s annual show ‘Celebrate’ 3 times in 2015, 2016 and 2017 as well as competing at Platform Dance Festival with a team dance, multiple solos, duos and small group routines too. Some of the girls go and compete alone in competitions such as PDA championships too. Due to the lockdown, the group have recently started up again but have been spending their training time choreographing routines and catching up with lost time together. The team are always looking to invite new members to join so make sure to check them out.
