The Dream Chasers Collective from The Movement Initiative winning at the International Dance Organisation World Championships in Germany 2019.The Movement Initiative is a home to world champion hip hop teams - Young Dream Chasers and Dream Chasers Collective and are based in Southsea. Award winning Charitable company. The advancement of the art of dance through education, performance and provision of facilities. Encouraging and empowering young people across the south coast.The Movement Initiative have successfully won various dance competitions around Europe and are now World Champions in the International Dance Organisation. The charity is run by Gareth Smith who set up the school to keep children off the streets and make sure they have access to opportunities for dance classes as well as great health benefits. Arleen Hurtado, flamenco dance - Lovesong
Arleen Hurtado grew up in Southern California, training in jazz, ballet and tap dance. In these years, she discovered Flamenco which is now her profession and she teaches classes, choreographs and performs in this style. For the past 18 years, Arleen has performed worldwide and toured throughout America showcasing her phenomenal talent.She has also toured and performed in United Arab Emirates, Lebanon, Spain, Italy, Croatia, China and India. As well as the travelling, Arleen has featured in music videos, tv commercials and magazines. She is now based in Los Angeles where she teaches weekly flamenco classes and still performs and tours around America. Arleen Hurtado as she introduces the foundational movements and posture of flamenco dance in a fun and easy way. You’ll learn a flamenco song, how to count the rhythm, flamenco arm and hand styling, hip movements, basic footwork patterns and essential skirt styling and you’ll get a fun combo at the end to put everything together.

MARY'S SONG from the EP ‘CRADLE SONGS’ by Daisy Chute "Burns Night is a tradition I hold dear, especially as a displaced Scot in London. But every year we gather and recite the same poetry and songs, and I've often wondered about all the Scottish poetry that gets left unread, especially from the female perspective. I wanted to unearth some lesser known poetry so Cradle Songs are settings of the poems I discovered and connected with on my hunt. The poems are about mourning (Mary Queen of Scots's Melancholy Air), unrequited love (Marion Angus's Mary's Song), and motherhood (Carolina Oliphant's Cradle Song), and span from the 16th to the 20th Century." ‘Cradle Songs’ featuring 'Mary's Song' released 28 January 2022.
