Ebenezer Sendey's winning performance at the Final of the Young Drummer of the Year Event held in the UK. All entrants must be under 16 and send in a video of themselves playing. A shortlist of 40 is decided, then the top 10 are chosen to come and play in front of a panel of professional players and music industry heavyweights. Not only do they perform a solo, an accompaniment to some prerecorded music, and a 'live' piece with 2 other musicians (a piece of music that they only heard the morning of the event); but they are also have an informal chat with the judges about music and themselves. Lennox Campbell AKA Manifest Productions is a Song Writer, Composer, Engineer and Composer from South East London. For the last 30 years he has been in the music industry, creating all kinds of genres, mainly a mix of Jazz, Soul, Reggae and Pop. His label, 'Ghetto Born But Raised' currently holds 18 tracks, all of which are available on Jeeni.His influences are what he grew up listening to from the 70's to the early 90's, harboring lyrics on topics that bother him and his friend/singer J Wills. This is mainly the voice of struggle, injustice and corruption. Their groove is a true fusion of life growing up in England.
Templar Animated - Beginner Class at Southsea
Templar Animated is a hip-hop dancer and break dancer as well as a freestyle teacher. He is based in Portsmouth, Southsea where he holds beginner freestyle sessions for adults over 18 years. He says that his freestyle classes help people to find the rhythm in the music as well as learn moves to create their own unique style. He also taught some online classes over the lockdown period at the start of 2021 which included styles such as popping, breaking, afro and even salsa! Templar has many friends who also dance and they create videos together to showcase their talent. The group locate around Southsea to film their content which can sometimes be choreography, freestyle or just grooving for fun. Before lockdown, he would often compete at battles or spectate and has said he learnt a lot from that experience. Templar took part in the recent Global Bandstand event in Portsmouth and took part in multiple classes where he found other dancers to hopefully collaborate with in the future.
