The Day of the Rabblement
A five-piece female led folk-tinged-outfit featuring drums, bass, guitars and accordion; ‘The Day of the Rabblement’ perform original songs and tune arrangements to get you on your feet. Having developed from an acoustic and more traditional set-up, they have grown in sound and reputation and enjoyed success on the Portsmouth music scene. With fat vocals, powerful songs and fast-tune instrumentals, they have a truly unique sound. The Day of the Rabblement are Khaleda Brophy (Vocals/Guitar), Danny Harmer (Accordion/Vocals), Tom McGibben (Banjo/Vocals), Caitlin Burchett (Violin/Vocals), Ollie Alsford (Mandolin/Vocals) and Josh Alsford (Bass). 'Govinda' is the bands most recent song online and it has this amazing rock element that they have added to their usual acoustic / indie vibe. This song makes you want to move instantly and the rock style really adds something to their work!
