All of these takes were done with me holding the microphone like a dynamic junk stage mic... it was late and I didn't think I'd make a whole project but decided to go for it. Definitely rough, a good bit of reverb and effects added on the tracks to beef up the sound, but absolutely no pitch correction at all.

The Day of the Rabblement performing their original song called 'Penal Colony No.14' . Having developed from an acoustic and more traditional set-up, they have grown in sound and reputation and enjoyed success on the Portsmouth music scene. They are always developing and keeping up with the current times. As a band, they had been on a baby-break just before the pandemic hit. Emerging from lock-down they had been gearing-up to give the band a new lease of life and looking at how to push ourselves. The 5 piece indie group create original songs and tune arrangements to get people up and moving!

Inside Story, Kate Stewart interviews Daisy Chute. Daisy Chute is a folk songstress and multi-instrumentalist and regular on the London music scene. Formerly of Decca’s platinum-selling classical group All Angels. Daisy came first in the Coffee Music Project singer-songwriter competition with her song ‘London’s on Fire’ and had a successful tour of America. Daisy has been lucky enough to be mentored by rock royalty Sir Ray Davies and featured as a vocalist on Radiohead’s latest album A Moon Shaped Pool. Daisy and her music has been compared to Simon and Garfunkel and Joni Mitchell
