In his song, Mohamad is singing about how strange life is, how harsh the nights are: ‘Oh this life is so strange... our home became very far. Very far.’ But before he can finish, he is overcome by homesickness and with his head in his hands, he cries. He is crying for his beloved country and for the father he left behind.Abu and Mohamad are residents of Zaatari, a refugee camp located just a few kilometres east of Mafraq, Jordan, near the Syrian border. Originally established as a temporary settlement in July 2012 for Syrians fleeing the civil war, Zaatari is now home to an estimated 79,000 refugees and stretches over five square kilometres.The Jeeni Refugee Aid channel supports refugee aid and charities across the world.

‘Invitation to Waltz’ from the piano composition album ‘First Love’ by Ariana May. The album of piano compositions: ‘First Love’, charts an emotional voyage through the depths of the heart. The album possesses a combination of nostalgic, poignant and optimistic pieces that each reflect different stages of a relationship and, on a deeper level, of our mercurial emotions as we experience the elasticity and unpredictability of life. Ariana May is a British singer-songwriter whose classical training in piano and singing from an early age has culminated in a deep love of composing and performing. ‘First Love’ album released 8 February 2022.
Templar Animated - Beginner Class at Southsea
Templar Animated is a hip-hop dancer and break dancer as well as a freestyle teacher. He is based in Portsmouth, Southsea where he holds beginner freestyle sessions for adults over 18 years. He says that his freestyle classes help people to find the rhythm in the music as well as learn moves to create their own unique style. He also taught some online classes over the lockdown period at the start of 2021 which included styles such as popping, breaking, afro and even salsa! Templar has many friends who also dance and they create videos together to showcase their talent. The group locate around Southsea to film their content which can sometimes be choreography, freestyle or just grooving for fun. Before lockdown, he would often compete at battles or spectate and has said he learnt a lot from that experience. Templar took part in the recent Global Bandstand event in Portsmouth and took part in multiple classes where he found other dancers to hopefully collaborate with in the future.
