Farid - More Than Just A FriendFarid made the first steps of his musical journey right after he learned how to stand up on his feet and isn’t ever planning to stop. As a child, he was greatly influenced by the heavy pop & r’n’b music wave that characterised the 90s, identifying strongly with Michael Jackson who, along with Justin Timberlake, have remained his strongest inspirations up to this day and have motivated him to never give up and pursue his dream of a stage career. Young Drummer of the Year - Ebenezer Sendey
Ebenezer Sendey's winning performance at the Final of the Young Drummer of the Year Event held in the UK. All entrants must be under 16 and send in a video of themselves playing. A shortlist of 40 is decided, then the top 10 are chosen to come and play in front of a panel of professional players and music industry heavyweights. Not only do they perform a solo, an accompaniment to some prerecorded music, and a 'live' piece with 2 other musicians (a piece of music that they only heard the morning of the event); but they are also have an informal chat with the judges about music and themselves. The event, this year, is kindly sponsored by PDP Drums, Meinl Cymbals, GEWA Bags & Cases & Gibraltar Hardware. Filmed at Artrix Bromsgrove UK
