Country artist from Northern Ireland who is influenced by the Americana movement of the 90s along with classic rock and celtic music. He was a session musician in London for many years before beginning his solo career in 2007 with my debut album Desert Wind. He also writes for TV, Film and other artists. XVIV - Original Music For Brass by Hugh Davies
My original idea was for it to be played on 19 valved brass instruments but it ended up as the following: Piccolo trumpet, Eb Trumpet, 4 Bb trumpets, Flugelhorn, Tenor Horn, Baritone, 2 Euphoniums, 2 Tubas. Most of which were doubled. I think thats 13 parts in all, so close!
