Charles Yang - Motion for Solo Violin - Original Composition
Inspired by Ysaye, Paganini, and B.B. King, I'm happy to say that "Motion" has been performed in the most random venues ranging from Lincoln Center in NYC to Ruta Maya's Coffee in Austin, TX. As I always say, music should have no barriers and I'm so grateful that audiences of all kinds have supported my music in grand concert halls to small, intimate bars and coffee houses. XVIV - Original Music For Brass by Hugh Davies
My original idea was for it to be played on 19 valved brass instruments but it ended up as the following: Piccolo trumpet, Eb Trumpet, 4 Bb trumpets, Flugelhorn, Tenor Horn, Baritone, 2 Euphoniums, 2 Tubas. Most of which were doubled. I think thats 13 parts in all, so close!
