XVIV - Original Music For Brass by Hugh Davies
My original idea was for it to be played on 19 valved brass instruments but it ended up as the following: Piccolo trumpet, Eb Trumpet, 4 Bb trumpets, Flugelhorn, Tenor Horn, Baritone, 2 Euphoniums, 2 Tubas. Most of which were doubled. I think thats 13 parts in all, so close! 10-year-old Ansam, a Syrian girl who was born blind, sang a heart melting song: ‘Heartbeat’, against a backdrop of a city devastated by conflict. Music Video released by UNICEF.The Jeeni Refugee Aid channel supports refugee aid and charities across the world.
