Shiny Stockings - Mike Casey
Mike Casey has enchanted audiences young & old alike, performing his signature blend of upbeat, accessible, exploratoty original music and genre-bending re-imaginations of jazz, pop, R&B, and even hip hop classics with mature lyricism and a formidable sound that commands the attention of the listener. Mike loves to pose musical "questions" to the audience, keeping them engaged, inquisitive, and above all, FEELING. Currently, Mike is currently exploring beyond jazz, finishing up a yearlong graduate degree in Contemporary Performance & Music Production at Berklee College of Music’s Valencia, Spain campus.
Aleah Mo - 'Pookie' Choreography
Aleah Mo is a 19-year-old hip hop dancer, teacher and choreographer at The Movement Initiative dance company based in Portsmouth. She has taught abroad on her own and achieved becoming world champion over the years with her team. Aleah has been dancing since she was 8, competing since she was 10 and teaching since she was 16 - er strongest dance styles are Hip Hop (new school) and R and B / Urban. She taught in Slovakia back in 2018 and 2019 for 2 different summer dance camps and teaches regular classes and rehearsals in her company’s studio. She is also an assistant choreographer to Tega Alex who is Aleah’s mentor, friend and head choreographer / director of the company. In the years of 2017, 2018 and 2019 Aleah became a World Champion in All-Style Battle Crew with her group The Young Lions which consisted of 5 – 7 members from the school. As well as Battle Crew, Aleah’s team (the Young Dream Chasers) won the IDO world championships in 2017 for the Junior Hip Hop Formations. The same happened for her in 2019 when her current team (the Dream Chasers Collective) took a gold medal home for winning the world championships of IDO for Adult Hip Hop Formations. This win took her team many years of dedication and hard work to achieve.
