Templar Animated is a hip-hop dancer and break dancer as well as a freestyle teacher. He is based in Portsmouth, Southsea where he holds beginner freestyle sessions for adults over 18 years. He says that his freestyle classes help people to find the rhythm in the music as well as learn moves to create their own unique style. He also taught some online classes over the lockdown period at the start of 2021 which included styles such as popping, breaking, afro and even salsa! Templar has many friends who also dance and they create videos together to showcase their talent. The group locate around Southsea to film their content which can sometimes be choreography, freestyle or just grooving for fun. Before lockdown, he would often compete at battles or spectate and has said he learnt a lot from that experience. Templar took part in the recent Global Bandstand event in Portsmouth and took part in multiple classes where he found other dancers to hopefully collaborate with in the future.

Baby Panna - Out The Mud
Rapper Baby Panna is still in the preliminary stages of his career, but his new EP amplifies a hunger that seems to have been with him from the start. He likes to think of himself as a boundary pusher like the artists that he looks up to but at the same time he wants to take the time to create music and release them when the time is right for him. He is an up-and-coming artist from the south coast and one to keep your eye on for sure!

This Iowa quartet of heavy rockers are kinda new to the scene, but have smashed into it and their presence has gained them a strong fan base. Shutterdog emerged in 2018 – a fresh 5-piece filled with future-soul swagger. Fronted by the honeyed voice of Amy Greed and crowned by duelling funk guitars, theirs is a high energy brand of groove with a message.By using aspects of Arabic, Afro-Cuban, and Indian music in a western songwriting context, Shutterdog provides a crucial first step for listeners to begin exploring other cultures. Led by vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Matt Nobile who served as the lead vocalist and principal songwriter for the world music band Datura Road from 2015 to 2020. The band’s diverse repertoire meant often switching between the guitar, oud, and penny-whistle within a single set of music.
