Leaving It All Behind - James Hawken
Do you ever feel like you've had enough? You need to make changes in your life? I felt like this and as usual, sat at the piano. I used the instrument to 'reset' my frame of mind, as a bridge from one life experience to another. The result is an expressive, dynamic piece full of changes of pace and touch. The overall effect instilling an air of calm and closing of a chapter. It's mood is also positive and conveys a feeling of optimism for the future.

(ASAI) Top 10 Indie-Rock finalist with a UK Songwriting Competition commended, this reimagined, lushly arranged pop-reggae single version of the original ‘Standing on the Fringe of Rooms’ album track reflects how we all have the ability and strength within ourselves to push through and soldier on, even when the days feel darkest. Those days when we feel like mere spectators of our own lives, standing on the outside looking in, fearing we’re losing control over our destiny. All is not lost. Ride the rolling stone and believe the light is waiting for you up ahead to banish the shadows, if you can only hold on to hope.
