Hidenori Inoue, Bass-Baritone, Spring Street Opera, JEENI

Originally from Himeji, Japan, Bass-Baritone Hidenori (“Heday") Inoue is known for his strong vocalism and varied repertoire. He also stands out for his bold presence and skillful acting credits, including a role in the Netflix Original series “Daredevil” Season 2 with Marvel. Heday will make his Hong Kong debut in the role of Escamillio in Bizet’s Carmen with MTM this summer and his Wagnerian role debut as Fasolt in Das Rheingold with Virginia Opera. In 2022, he will debut with North Carolina Opera as Sarastro in Die Zauberflöte. The 2020-2021 season includes debuts of the title role in Don Giovanni, Nourabad in The Pearl Fishers, and Colline in an innovative movie production of La Bohème with Opera Omaha, Tri-City Opera, Opera Columbus, and MTM Hong Kong. He also appears in three aria showcases with The Met Guild as Escamillio (Carmen), Commendatore (Don Giovanni), Ferrando (Il Trovatore) and Zaccaria (Nabucco). Due to COVID-19, all these performances will be presented virtually. Hidenori Inoue will star in an exclusive world première of Spring Street and the full performance can be watched here on Saturday 24th July 2021.
