My original idea was for it to be played on 19 valved brass instruments but it ended up as the following: Piccolo trumpet, Eb Trumpet, 4 Bb trumpets, Flugelhorn, Tenor Horn, Baritone, 2 Euphoniums, 2 Tubas. Most of which were doubled. I think thats 13 parts in all, so close! Profiiit - Aliyah's Prayer
Aliyah's Prayer is a laid-back and charming interlude after the powerful and impactful opening track 'Betty Boo' for his latest album, 'Alexander' (released 28/02/22). The track doesn't feature Profiiit's rapping, but instead features his indulgent and inspired talent for pacing and planning out the tempo of an album.Profiiit is a groundbreaking and restless force in the East Coast US underground rap scene. His style cannot be simply defined in terms of genres due to his insatiable need to constantly move and push his sound to new levels, however influences include J. Cole, Kanye West, Pusha T, Kendrick Lamar and the late XXXTENTACION. Something Profiiit has in common with all of these inspirations is a long endeavour for greatness.
